BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, April 27th 2017- All is set for the traditional Miss Labour Pageant 2017 this Saturday 29th April.

 

The show being held as part of the activities for the annual Labour weekend will be staged at 17 degrees, Victoria Road, Basseterre, starting at 8 p.m.



Eight girls, representing the constituencies on St. Kitts and vying for the coveted title, along with their chaperones, were guests at a cocktail party on Tuesday evening.

 

The 8 contestants are Talia Laws, Constituency #1; Trevicia Henville, Constituency #2; Shalyah Williams, Constituency #3; Charity Mardenborough, Constituency # 4; Nakita Parris, Constituency #5; Taerani Phillip, Constituency #6; Danecia Henry, Constituency # 7 and Desnarine Hanley, Constituency #8.

 

The contestants will make four appearances – Introductory Speech, Performing Talent, Creative Wear and Evening Wear.


 

Miss Labour 2016/2017, Kyla Morton will make her final walk. Labour Party Chairperson and Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 2 (Central Basseterre), Hon. Marcella Liburd will present the runners-up trophies and National Political Leader and Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, will crown the new Miss Labour 2017/2018.



On Friday afternoon (April 28th), the 8 contestants will participate in a mini motorcade from the Patsy Allers Playing Field, Cayon Street, Cunningham Street, Central Street, Church Street, Liverpool Row, College Street, Bay Road, up Fort Street, Cayon Street, West Independence Square Street, George Street, Sandown Road, Pond Road, West Independence Street,, Port Zante Court Yard.
