AUTOPSY TO DETERMINE CA– USE OF DEATH OF CAYON RESIDENT INVOLVED IN FRIARS BAY INCIDENT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 06, 2017 (RSCNPF): Investigations have led the police to allow a pathologist determine the cause of death of a man who was reported as having drowned at Friars Bay, South East Peninsula.


Thursday afternoon (December 04, 2018) police responded to report of a drowning at Friars Bay. Reports indicate that 29-year-old Torday Burroughs of Cayon was at Carambola with friends where he later went into the water. Reports also indicate that after a while he was not seen and when his friends went looking for him they noticed that he was floating on the water.  They pulled him out. The Emergency Medical Service was called and Burroughs was transported to the JNF Hospital where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Gutierrez.  


An autopsy will be performed shortly. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
