Cuban Health Worker Collapses and Dies In Dominica

A member from the Henry Reeve” Cuban Medical Brigade which arrived in Dominica on March 29, 2020, to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic collapsed and died.

Yesterday, (Wednesday 6 May) Minister of Health, Irvin McIntyre during a COVID-19 Briefing confirmed the death of 42-year-old, Yoet Michel Ramos Cordero.

The Health Minister didn’t reveal the cause of death.

The Cuban team are working in the two hospitals on the island that provide care for COVID – 19 patients. It has been 28 days since the island had its last positive case.
