Basseterre, St. Kitts. February 18, 2019 – After a bloody seven days in which six young men were murdered, St. Kitts and Nevis began a new week Monday with the death of a husband stemming from domestic violence.

According to informed sources, police responding to a domestic violence report at Upper Malone Avenue in Basseterre, met husband, Leroy Henry stabbing his wife, Udella Henry.

Police reportedly ordered Leroy Henry to stop stabbing his wife in the throat, but instead began slitting his own throat.

A police officer is said to have fired a bullet to stop the husband from slitting his own throat and he fell to the ground and declared dead in the home.

The wife was rushed to hospital after emergency treatment.

An autopsy is to be carried out to determine whether the husband was shot and killed by the officer’s bullet or his self-inflicted wound.
