Saddlers, St. Kitts, January 7, 2019 – Leader of the Opposition and Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 6, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas Monday expressed sadness at the passing of his 102-year-old constituent Edward Solomon Bailey.

“Brother Edward Bailey, who was born on May 29, 1916 on Estridge Estate, transitioned to Glory/Heaven in the early hours of Monday 7th Jan. Brother Bailey lived a long and rich life in the Lord. He testified and spoke of God’s Goodness and Grace and travelled the length and breadth of St. Kitts periodically, where he visited and fellowshipped with affiliated Churches,” said Dr. Douglas in a statement.

He noted that although Bro. Bailey might not have had many relatives, God placed many wonderful people in his life.

“Have never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed seen begging for bread. May God continue to bless his stepdaughter and family, The residents of Saddlers/Harris,’ the Penteco, stal Church of God in Saddlers Village and all those who loved, supported and cared for him during his time on earth…..You will be rewarded by our Heavenly Father,” said Dr. Douglas, the recipient of hundreds of prayers by Bailey, one of his staunchest supporters during his near 30 years as the area’s parliamentarian.

“Well done thou good and faithful servant: thou has been faithful over a few things; enter thou into the Joy of the Lord. You have fought a good fight, You have finished the and has kept the faith. May the Soul of our Departed Brother and Villager, Edward Bailey rest in eternal Peace.”
