Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 20, 2018 – A High Court Judge in St. Kitts and Nevis Monday 19th November, stopped criminal proceedings brought by the Timothy Harris-led Team Unity Government against former Supervisor of Elections, Mr. Wingrove George and ordered the immediate return of his passport.

Kyss 102.5 FM is reporting that His Lordship Mr. Justice Eddy Ventose during a High Court hearing on November 19 also ordered the Attorney General Mr. Vincent “Juicy” Byron to return Mr. George’s passport to him by 3 p.m. yesterday.

The Judge also suspended all the other bail conditions imposed.

George, who was already on suspension was arrested on December 15, 2017, and charged with misconduct in public office, purportedly in relation to perceived irregularities with the February, 2015, federal elections.

The opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party has long maintained that the charges brought against George was “strictly vindictive politics.”

George is being represented in the matter by the Law Offices of Sylvester Anthony.

The government has brought in Dane Hamilton Q.C. of Antigua for the case.
