Campbell receiving attention after collapsing while setting the pace in the men’s 3000m at the Millrose Games in New York.

Kemoy Campbell, Jamaica’s leading distance runner was rushed to a hospital after he collapsed while competing at the Millrose Games in New York today, (Saturday 9th February).

According to reports, Campbell looked very disoriented while performing his duty as the pacesetter during the men’s 3000-metre race. Campbell collapsed near the shot put area just beyond the 1000m mark.

He received medical attention by the side of the track and was taken out of the stadium on a stretcher.

Up to press time information on the 28-year-old condition wasn’t available.

According to media reports CPR was performed on Campbell and a defibrillator was used.
