SKNP, Thursday 15, December 2016 – The Leeward Islands Hurricanes selectors made changes to their squad ahead of the 5th round. Nevisian Tonito Willet replaced Bonner. Other changes included the inclusion of Keacey Carty and Boatswain.

The Leewards who lost their last encounter by 94 runs to the Windward Islands were off to a rocky start against Jamaica at Warner park in St. Kitts.

Having lost three quick wickets in Powell, (18) Carty, (0) and Hodge, (0) Hamilton had to steady the innings which ensured the Leeward Islands posted a respectable score.

Hamilton and Cornwall put on a partnership of 100 for the sixth wicket which gave the Leewards some hope. However, this was short lived as the tail end didn’t provide Hamilton with the support.

Nevertheless, Hamilton played aggressively and scored his second century for the season, 103. He was caught and was the 10th wicket to fall. The Leeward Islands were 243 all out.
