SKN PULSE, Basseterre, Sunday 18, December 2016 – The curtains has been brought down on the first ever Miss Caribbean Carnival Pageant that was held last night at the Sugar Mill in Basseterre, St. Kitts as part of the Sugar Mas 45 activities.

Seven beautiful ladies from across the region vied for the coveted title but at the end of the evening, the reigning Miss. Caribbean Culture, Ms. Khyla Brown was crowned queen. Her second crown in less than 4 months.
Khyla continues to get better and better with every new pageant. Brown placed first runner up in the Miss Carnival Pageant for the 44th hosting of Sugar Mas last year. As recent as this year, Brown participated in the Miss Caribbean Culture Pageant on Nevis in which she was crowned queen in August of this year at the Cultural Complex.
The contestants from Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Nevis, St. Maarten, Guyana, St. Kitts and the British Virgin Islands made appearances in 5 segments; ambassadorial wear, talent, swimsuit, evening wear and question and answer.

Khyla amassed a total of 1556.80 points. She won the Ambassadorial and Swimwear segments.
The final results were:
Winner – Miss St. Kitts – Ms. Khyla Brown (1556.80 points)
1st Runner Up- Miss Barbados – Ms. Zhane Padmore (1458.10 points)
2nd Runner Up- Miss Nevis – Ms. Xarriah Browne (1400 points)
3rd Runner Up- Miss Trinidad and Tobago – Djennicia Francis (1389.60 points)

Winner of the Swimwear Appearance- Miss St. Kitts (231.50 points), Ms. Khyla Brown

Winner of the Evening Gown Appearance- Miss St. Kitts (361.50 points), Ms. Khyla Brown
Best On-Stage Interview- Miss Nevis (376.50 points), Ms. Xarriah Browne
Miss Amity- Miss Guyana, Odessa Grogan
Miss Photogenic- Miss Barbados, Zhane Padmore
The contestants who didn’t place hailed from St. Maarten, (Keshanna Hammer) Guyana, (Odessa Grogan) and the British Virgin Islands, (Sasha Wintz).
