Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 20, 2017, (RSCNPF): A west-line passenger bus was stopped and searched on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at about 10 a.m.

During the search, one Keltec pistol .40 was found on the person of Clive Francis of Newton Ground. He was taken into police custody and is assisting with investigations.

The Police High Command continues to commend the men and woman of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for their sustainedvigilance in trying to create safer communities for all.

“These officers put themselves in harm’s way so that the public can be safe. Having removed 45 firearms from the streets of St. Kitts and Nevis for the year so far, speaks volumes to the work they have been doing. This is no easy feat and we will not lessen our efforts to keep the country safe, especially during this Carnival season,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police, Terrance James.
