Man in stable condition after shooting in Bath Village

An early morning armed robbery resulted in the injury of Claxton, who is listed at the Alexandra Hospital as being in a stable condition.

According to the Police statement, they received a report at about 2 a.m. on Saturday (October 06) that someone was presented at the Alexandra Hospital with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the face and arm.
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Keno Claxton of Clay Ghaut Estate. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that sometime before midnight, Claxton went to a shop in Bath Village, and upon leaving the shop, sometime later, he walked to his vehicle and was accosted by two armed masked assailants. They demanded money. At some point during the robbery, Claxton was shot.

The scene was processed and items of evidential value were taken into Police custody.
