Man shot in Nevis, shop robbed in St. Kitts

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, April 3rd 2017 – Police in the Federation are carrying investigations into a shooting incident in Nevis and a robbery in St. Kitts.

 

The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) said detectives are investigating a shooting incident in Bath Village, Nevis that has resulted in injuries to one person on Saturday, April, 1,

 

The victim, who has not been named by the police, received a gunshot injury to his leg while in an altercation with two unknown assailants.”

 

However, well-informed sources named the victim as Shawn Liburd, who was transported to the Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

 

There are reports of a robbery of a small shop in St. Paul’s on St. Kitts.

 

Multiple reports state the gun of a police officer who was in the shop at the time was taken away.
