Marcella Liburd to meet with St. Kitts and Nevis nationals in Birmingham, other areas

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 8, 2018 – Nationals residing in the British city of Birmingham and surrounding areas, will hear of developments in St. Kitts and Nevis during a Face to Face Conversation at a Town Hall Meeting this coming Sunday 11th November.

High unemployment, widespread corruption and scandals, poor health care service, lack of opportunities and the high cost of living are among issues which will be addressed by Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 2 (Central Basseterre), Hon. Marcella Liburd.

Ms. Liburd, also the Deputy Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), will also update persons on the Labour Party’s readiness for the upcoming General Elections, constitutionally due in 2020 but expected to be called in a few months.

Issues of nepotism, cronyism, lack of accountability, transparency and good governance, as well as the Team Unity Government’s decision to build a new Basseterre High School (BHS) on the aquifer which provides the residents of Basseterre, Frigate Bay, Half Moon and the South East Peninsula with potable water will also be discussed.

The Town Hall meeting will take place on Sunday 1th November at 4 p.m. at BCA, Jenkins Street, Small Heath, Birmingham, B10 OPG.
