Monroe’s, Coach Greene named NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Cross Country Head-Coach of the Year, Atlantic Region

Believing that he needs to put his heart, mind, and soul into even his smallest acts, Shirvon Greene continues to etch his name in the history books of Monore College winning award after award while making the Mustangs Athletes even more marketable with big schools as they continue to perform at a high standard year after year.

The 11 time Assistant Coach of the Year, continues to make a positive imapct on future track stars; he is climbing the ladder of success with much humility.

On Friday evening at the Garden City Community College in Kansas, an awards ceremony was held and the announcement was made, that Head-Coach Greene had won the NJCAA Division 1 Women’s Cross Country award for the Atlantic Region.

In an exclusive interview with SKN PULSE MEDIA, Greene said, ” it is the first time, that he is winning the Women’s Cross Country Head Coach of the year award.”

It was certainly a surprise.

Supported by his Women’s team, “winning the award is special” said Greene; “It is my first award as Head Coach of the Women’s Cross Country team, so it is a very special moment.”

Student Athlete, Claudrice Mckoy was named the Atlantic Region Cross Country Athlete of the Year, a feat that even makes this season even more special, said Coach Greene.

He said, the season has been great and thanks to the hard work and dedication of the athletes, success has once again been achieved. According to Greene, “Success is the result of hard work, learning from failure and persistence.”

He is Level II certified by the USATF Coaching Education in Endurance (Middle & Long Distances) and is a registered USATF Track & Field Coach.
