MP Maynard and wife send financial help to students

Parliamentary Representative for St Christopher 3 (West Basseterre), Hon Konris Maynard and his wife, Shamara have provided financial assistance to 14 St Kitts and Nevis students overseas impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19).

On Saturday via Facebook. Maynard announced that he and his wife deposited their part to the Student Relief Fund.

He said:

Shamara and I deposited our part of the Student Relief Fund to the accounts of 14 overseas students in the amount of US$200.00 per student


Maynard issued a public call for the Goverment of St Kitts and Nevis to assist Kittitian and Nevisian students studying overseas, who are impacted by the COVID-19.

Maynard and his wife launched the COVID-19 Overseas Student Relief Fund on March 28. Prior to the launch of this initiative, Maynard had issued a call for the goverment to assist students studying abroad on March 20th.

The couple committed EC$5,000 to the cause of assisting St Kitts and Nevis students studying overseas.

Persons are welcome to make donations. Details on where donations can be made should be available this week.
