Nevis businessman dies from gunshot injuries

CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS, AUGUST 21ST 2017 – Nevisian businessman, Benjamin Joseph, who was shot and injured on Saturday night, has died at the Alexandra Hospital.

The Pinney’s Beach resident, who owned Philisha’s Guest House was attacked by a lone gunman, who fired multiple shots in his direction.

Mr. Joseph, who was getting out of his car was injured as he sought cover at the nearby residence of a family member, said to be a daughter who took him in her vehicle to the Alexandra Hospital.

Another source said he saw police processing the crime scene and removed several spent shells.
