Police on St. Kitts are investigating a fatal traffic accident that occurred along the F.T. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Gillard Meadows on July 05.
The police statement said:
The accident occurred at approximately 9:15p.m. and involved motor car P 7226 driven by Diamond Williams of Greenlands and pedestrian Hement Saffee of Shadwell.
Circumstances are that motor car P 7226 was traveling east along the F.T. Williams Highway and when it got in the vicinity of JAM’s Welding Shop, a pedestrian was crossing the road and was struck by P 7226.
According to the statement, emergency Medical Services and a Medical Examiner were summoned to the scene. The Medical Examiner pronounced Saffee dead.
The driver of P 7226 was taken into Police custody to assist further with the ivestigation into the matter.
