SKN’s Veteran Calypsonian Errol “King Arrow” Dolphin passes away

Veteran Calypsonian, Errol “King Arrow” Dolphin has died. The late King Arrow, who had been ailing for awhile now, passed away at the St. Maarten Medical Center Monday morning.

The 71 year old will be remembered for his contribution to calypso, (he was a previous Roach March winner).

His 1983 hit song for independence nationhood, “Arise” and his Christmas classic “Christmas Pains,” will forever be etched in minds of many.

In the 1970’s he went to Trinidad to produce his first album backed by Joey Lewis band and backing vocals featuring Singing Francine.

According to Freedom FM, Arrow went on to produce 4 other albums backed by Ellie Matt GI’sBrass and Grand Ash 2 Express.
