St Thomas’ Primary School crowned Mr and Miss Talented Youth 2017

SKN PULSE – A late start and technical problems didn’t damper the spirits of the youths taking part in last night’s staging of the 30th Anniversary of the Mr & Miss Talented Youth Pageant held at the Nevis Cultural Complex. The bold and talented youths performed with confidence, energy and grace as they thrilled the supportive audience. 

Seven schools vied to be crowned king and queen. They competed in three segments: creative costume, talent and evening wear. The contestants were also pre-judged for a video presentation of their sponsor. 

At the end of the night, St. Thomas’ Primary school were judged winners of the 30th anniversary staging of the Mr. & Miss Talented Youth Pageant as they amassed 587 points. The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School placed first runner-up with 565 points and Ivor Walters Primary School, (536) and Charlestown Primary School, (504) placed 2nd and 3rd runners-up respectively.

St. Thomas’ Primary School captured the awards for best creative costume, best sponsor appreciation video and best talent.The St. James Primary School were awarded best 30th Anniversary Ball Attire.

The results were as follows:

Winners: ST. THOMAS’ PRIMARY SCHOOL- Ky-Manie Browne & Darica Jeffers (587 pts)

1st runner Up: Joycelyn Liburd Primary School- Eldon Liburd & Shante Hendrickson (565 pts)

2nd runner Up: Ivor Walters Primary School- Dakari Browne & Jahniya Wilkin (536 pts)

3rd Runner Up: Charlestown Primary School- Samuel Clarke & Sheniel Rodney (504 pts)

Best Sponsor Appreciation Video- St. Thomas’ Primary School (108.5 pts)

Best Creative Costume- St. Thomas’ Primary School (104 pts)

Best Talent- St. Thomas’ Primary School (247 pts)

Best 30th Anniversary Ball Attire- St. James Primary School (126.5 pts)

Participating schools were: Joycelyn Liburd Primary School, St. Thomas’ Primary School, Charlestown Primary School,  St. James Primary School, Violet O. Nicholls Primary School, Ivor Walters Primary School, Maude Cross Preparatory School and Nevis Academy.
