CHARLESTOWN/BASSETRE – Reports of a shooting in Nevis Tuesday night and a robbery in St. Kitts on Wednesday morning.

 

According to a credible source, the Chinese supermarket in Russell Village, Basseterre was robbed around mid-morning Wednesday. No further details were immediately available.

 

Tuesday night around 8 ‘o’ clock, Cotton Ground’ resident, Answorth Hutton parked his vehicle PA 8331 in a yard in Clay Ghaut, Gingerland.

 

He got out of the vehicle and as he stood next to it, he was attacked by a lone gunman who fired a bullet.

 

According to the source the bullet missed him, but damaged the window on the driver’s side. Hutton received slight scratches from the broken glass.

 

Police removed a bullet and a spent shell from the crime scene.

 

Both incidents are under investigation.
