SKN PULSE – On Tuesday 20th June 2017 the spiralling of Crime continued in St. Kitts, with a shooting incident at the Joseph N. France Hospital, which left one man dead, nurses and patients terrified and citizens in total shock. 

According to a press release from the Police Public Relations Unit, investigators from the Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the shooting incident that was reported around 9.00 am, on Tuesday (June 20) in Buckley’s.

The shooting of a male known as Darnel ‘Bushman’ Govia, who seemingly accompanied a friend to the Medical Institution, (Joseph N. France Hospital) had to run for his life when a gunman opened fire on him. 

Unconfirmed sources indicate that the deceased received up to 8 bullets to his body, he later succumbed to his injuries. 

This brings the murder toll to 16 thus far for the year. 

Investigations are currently ongoing. 
A person of interest is in custody assisting the police.
