Two Murders: Police investigating double homicide

Gun Violence – Murders – No Solution – Police on St. Kitts are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the Green Tree area last night in which two men were fatally wounded.

A police report stated:

The incident took place sometime after 10 p.m. on Friday, February 08. Thirty-three-year-old Musa “Ziggy” Warner and 22-year-old Shakeem Warner were shot multiple times about the body by masked gunmen. They were transported to the JNF Hospital by the Emergency Medical Service, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The release further stated that:

Members of the Crime Scene Unit visited and processed the scene. They collected items of evidential value.

While investigations into the matter are ongoing, up to press time no suspects were held. The murder toll in the Federation now stands at three. Nevis has recorded 1 murder, St. Kitts 2.
