Antiguan Alzarri Joseph has been named as part of Mumbai Indians IPL team due to an injury to New Zealander Adam Milne, who will miss the rest of the IPL season.

Joseph, the young West Indian fast bowler, was one of the West Indies bright sparks in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016. Coincidentally, he also dismissed a young Ishan Kishan at the World Cup, with whom he will be sharing the dressing room now.

Joseph has played seven T20 games thus far. He has nine wickets at a strike rate of 17 and career best T20 figures of 4/41. Joseph has taken 25 wickets in nine Test matches. He has also played 16 ODIs.

This will be his first go-round in the IPL.

Mumbai Indians’ are currently playing their second match in against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru today, Thursday (March 28).
