Elated! Howard Maynard displays his $105,500 cheque at the Caribbean Lottery’s office in Nevis recently after winning the Lucky Pick game.

Charlestown, Nevis – February 6, 2020: “Elated.” That is how Lucky Pick winner Howard Maynard described his mood, after winning a whopping $105,500 with Caribbean Lottery’s Lucky Pick game.

Now the 54-year-old father of three can’t stop smiling.

“When I heard I had won I looked to the sky and said, ‘Thank you, Jesus!’” he exclaimed. “I knew I was going to get good news, but I didn’t know what it would be,” he added.

“I did not have time to look at my ticket. When the agent, RSJ One Stop in Charlestown, said I should check to see if I had won, I did – and it was me!” Mr. Maynard used the Quick Pick option.

Sabina Harrinarain, Office Manager at The Caribbean Lottery in St. Kitts congratulated Mr. Maynard on his win, adding that she was impressed by his upbeat approach. “At Caribbean Lottery, we are always happy when we can bring a smile to a winner’s face,” she beamed. “We hope that this win will help to bring financial security for Mr. Maynard and his family, and that he will continue to play our popular Lucky Pick game.”

A self-employed construction worker by profession, Mr. Maynard agreed: “Financially I am going to be more stable. Meanwhile, I am going to relax, and make sure that I earn some interest on the funds.”

Mr. Maynard expressed confidence that he would win Caribbean Lottery’s Super Lotto game. “I buy it every draw day,” he said. As for the Lucky Pick: “I always believed I would win it, since the game was introduced in Nevis. I’ve been patient. It took a while, but you see – I won!”

Mr. Maynard’s secret is to keep a positive attitude. “Don’t buy a ticket thinking you will lose – put positive energy out there. If you can’t afford to play every day, play when you can!”
