Queen Kibi places 4th in Regional Female Calypso Monarch Competiton

Basseterre, (SKN PULSE) — Patrons who were in attendance at the Queen of Queens Regional Female Calypso Monarch competition witnessed the crowning of Barbadian, Chrystal Cummins-Beckles-Holder.


The Regional Female Calypso Competition was last held in December of 2014.


The reigning Monarch Chrystal Cummins-Beckles-Holder defended her crown on the night as she edged out 8 other female calypsonians at Festival Village to take the top spot last night at Festival Village, Montserrat. The calypsonians were backed by the Black Rhythms Band while the show was hosted by Basil Chambers.


Kittitian, Kibianne Willet (Queen Kibi) represented St. Kitts and gave a good account of herself as she placed fourth. Queen Kibi is the reigning Queen of Calypso Queen Bacchanal. 


Queen Kibi is set to defend her crown on Saturday 31, December 2016 in St. Kitts.

2nd – Shaunelle McKenzie (St Vincent & the Grenadines)

3rd – Roxxy (Anguilla)

4th – Kibi (St Kitts)

5th – Shakiya (St Maarten)

6th – Caribbean Queen (USVI)

7th – Kandie (Montserrat)

8th – Menell (St Lucia)
